One of the nation’s highest gains ultra marathon – the DRTE 100® [Dirt Roads & Trail Endurance ] debuts in 2009 with an a**-kicking 100-mile point-to-point through the Santa Barbara front country. This virgin course is relentless, with 34,989-ft. of gains and 34,753-ft. of losses, starting near sea level: so no altitude acclimatization is needed. October 1 – 4, 2009; hosted at Rancho Oso, just 45 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport.
