D.R.T.E. 100®


One of the nation’s highest gains ultra marathon – the DRTE 100® [Dirt Roads & Trail Endurance ] debuts in 2009 with an a**-kicking 100-mile point-to-point through the Santa Barbara front country. This virgin course is relentless, with 34,989-ft. of gains and 34,753-ft. of losses, starting near sea level: so no altitude acclimatization is needed. October 1 – 4, 2009; hosted at Rancho Oso, just 45 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport.

Race headquarters, briefings and meals will be held at Rancho Oso’s Western Village. The D.R.T.E.100® starts at the nearby Sage Hill campground and finishes at Western Village.
